Aoi Notes: 07/05/2006
Well, Anime Expo 2006 wrapped today, and I should really be getting to sleep. Got to get to the airport early tomorrow so I can catch my flight, but I had to get the new Aoi House up for you guys and gals.
Anime Expo went really well. It wasn't nearly as much work as I thought it was going to be, which is good as that leaves you feeling wired after its over. Yeah...wired enough to get on the net and type this blog entry when you should be sleeping. ^_-
Jason, his girlfriend Veronica, and me broke down the booth really quickly and were on the road back to Los Angeles by 4 PM. That left us enough time to go eat and then hit an Asian used bookstore and an Asian super-market. Unfortunately, this little trip really killed any hopes I had of having 1 bag to check and 1 carry on, 'cause I've now got a bag full of Japanese snacks and manga that I bought. [The manga I picked up were Kimagure Orange Road Vol. 1, 2 and 18, and Sakura Diaries Vol. 1, 2, 3, and 18.] This is in addition to the Sailor Moon alarm clock, Nausicaa/Laputa Fox Squirrel plushie, Urusei Yatsura Lum figure, Kashimashi character sketch art book, Sgt. Frog action figures, and G Gundam Rain PVC statue that I bought at the con. I sure hope they let me bring it on the plane... *crosses fingers*
Anyway, I better wrap this up there. I reeeeeally need some sleep. I'll catch you all back here Friday! Laters!
