Fruit Cake Fantasy #1 - "The Journey Begins"

Welcome to the very first installment of Aoi House Presents: FRUIT CAKE FANTASY.
What is "Fruit Cake Fantasy," you ask?
As you might've learned from Friday's Aoi Notes, it's a very special Aoi House side-story that Shiei and I have put together as a way to reward long-time readers and give new readers a jumping on point so they can get excited about the series. Plus, with the print edition of Aoi House Vol. 1 (collecting fully-toned versions of Episodes 1 through 7 with new pages and tons of extras) hitting bookstores towards the end of this month and early June, this side-story is also a way for us to not get too far ahead of the core story.
Obviously, "Fruit Cake Fantasy" is an homage to all things Final Fantasy done using the cast of Aoi House. That's about all I'm going to say since anything else would spoil the fun!
Why is it called "Fruit Cake Fantasy"?
It's just a crazy title for a crazy story. It's a simple as that! ^_^
When will we pick up with Alex's big date?
Shiei still has a few more pages of "Fruit Cake Fantasy" to draw, but once she's done with that, then she'll move right into picking up where Episode 7's cliffhanger left off. I can't give you a solid date for when that'll start, but it'll be right after "Fruit Cake Fantasy" wraps up. So, probably late May or early June. It really all depends on how many pages Shiei ends up drawing. It'll probably be around 15 pages, give or take a few.
