Episode 5, Page #1 - "Zombified"

Aoi Notes: 01/09/2006

I came across a really interesting article today that details 13 Things That Do Not Make Sense. It's from NewScientist.com and it's really a pretty fascinating read. I especially like the items on some of the mysteries of space such as Dark Matter and the Pioneer probes being pulled off course for some unknown reason. What really caught my eye was #10, which is on "The Kuiper Cliff." What's that? It's basically an area beyond Pluto where rock all the icy rocks just stop suddenly. It's where theories about an unfound 10th planet come into play. Great stuff. ^_^

Like many kids, I went through a phase where I was into Dinosaurs, but where I lost that desire to really care about archeology, I've never really lost the awe I have for space. Back when I was in the Boy Scouts (I was an Eagle Scout, btw), I actually taught Space Exploration as a merit badge councilor one year at summer camp. I brought tons of magazines with pictures of the planets, little space ship models and I even taped the audio Voyager message that The X-Files tacked onto the beginning of the first episode of season 2 just to help spice things up a little for my class.

Heck, when I began to abbreviate the class as Space Ex...it turned into a running joke because it sounded so much like I was saying Safe Sex. So, in addition to launching off rockets...I gave everyone a Safe Sex test to make sure they learned what they were supposed to. And you know what? Most people couldn't keep their space balls in order. Get it? Space balls? The planets? Balls out in space? Okay...yeah, that pun was absolutely horrid. I'll try better next time.

Anyway, killer weekend for me. Spent it entering contracts with my mom and keeping tabs on the production of two Gomanga.com related items--a movie file I shouldn't talk about and the revised main page design. Even managed to get the next 2 scripts for the Newtype USA koma ready and got chapter 5 of Aoi House (starts today!) all cleaned up. Shiei's really busy too. She's been busy wrapping up Amazing Agent Luna Vol. 3, doing Aoi House, the Aoi House koma and some other assorted work. Yep, we're busy all around!

Better to be busy or to be bored? Who knows.

Well, that's it for this fine Monday. Hope you got a kick out of today's installment and we'll see you back here on Wednesday. Until then, see you in the forum!
