NEW PICTURE BOOK GETS FLASH ANIMATION

(Los Angeles, August 28, 2006) – Seven Seas Entertainment is pleased to announce the upcoming release of its inaugural children’s picture book, Diva v. Poe, by author Kurt Hassler. Diva v. Poe is a whimsically illustrated book that sends up the issue of sibling rivalry to the nth degree. To commemorate the picture book’s debut, Seven Seas has created an interactive flash animation of the entire story, complete with music, that is viewable for free online.

Diva v. Poe is about twin sisters who couldn’t be more different from each other. Diva and Poe want to know which of the two of them is their parents’ favorite, and no matter what it takes, they intend to have their answer. The book demonstrates uproariously that two very different children can be not only equally beloved by parents but equally infuriating as well.

Author Kurt Hassler’s previous picture book, Hannah and the Homonculus, was one of the Children’s Book Sense 76 picks for Fall 2001 as well as a Borders Original Voices nominee.

Diva v. Poe will hit shelves in early October. In the meantime, the story is viewable online in its entirety with lavishly produced flash animation, at the following link: http://www.gomanga.com/diva_v_poe/
