why does this whole site remind me of gaia

All forums are similar in one way or another. None of the people involved in the creation of the forum have ever used Gaia for any amount of time, so any similarity if probably a coincidence. I thought Gaia had avatars that you could dress up like paper dolls and earn gold and such, though?

That's about right, Adam. ^^ Instead of just having an image, you can customize your avatar by spending Gold on it (an idea that basically equates to: More Time on Gaia = Better Avatar, a plan that's worked pretty well).


Zengo: As Adam said, most forums are basically the same. Sure, some have features don't, but in the end all forums are basically just places where you type in text and post it for others to read. It's no surprise that it feels similar to you. And GAIA's an anime-heavy site, so considering that Seven Seas Entertainment is a manga company, there are further similarities (mostly in what's talked about). ^^

Essentially, yes. A Flash Anime is where somebody uses the program Flash to create an anime-style cartoon for others to enjoy; these are rarely longer than 5 minutes, though epic projects do exist. Some flash-created anime are indistinguishable from professionally created series, showing just how talented some people are.
