Man, I really love that character expressions in this title. Although I wonder if Junior is a nutjob himself.

Or it's possible that he is older then he looks, like Schmendrick the Magician from The Last Unicorn. That, or he's a child prodigy.

I've been wondering that too, is he some sort of magical "ghostbuster" that is far older then he seems but has to be to blend in and not draw attention.

Regarding page 15, I wouldn't be surprised if that was a bunch of grafitti "tags" in the Subway Tunnels they were looking out towards, and the kid made a quip about the shady "normal" people being about as dangerous as the supernatual ones.

This IS New York City we're talking about after all.

Though it would be quite hilarious in a dark kind of way to see the two get held up at gunpoint only for that mugger to fall kinda nastily to a vampire or something right after.

Like Altair_Specineff it is New York, so what other things are there to fear in that city? How about other New Yorkers  Sorry couldn't help myself been wanting to use that lame joke for a while now ever since a friend from New York begged me to

A vampire mugging them? Well I guess a vampire mugger is something to fear.

Hmm, things to be scared of in New York? How about getting hit by a pidgeon? Those things nearly run into you sometimes when they're flying.

Speaking of dark humor, there's a show on TLC called 99 Most Bizarre, and one episode was about bizarre crimes. There was some weird stuff on there, like the guy that attacked his girlfriend with a turtle, or one of my personal favorites, the guy that mugged a professional boxer. :happyhappy:

Or we could be getting a serious look at Junior's personality and he's remembering a sad event in his life. Parents shot dead, him being kidnapped, sister getting killed, etc.

That's also true. There's a lot of possibilities. But to me, it looked like he had just sensed something, like the train had passed by something bad.

Possibly, but if they were what he claims to be, not saying they are immortal, but isn't it more likely if they are dead it was from supernatural causes?

Yes that's very possible, but I never said they weren't from supernatural causes did I?

You didn't he did I think, by saying "There are other things to fear in this city". Maybe he was talking about vampries and werewolves, zombies and such but I got the impression he meant non supernatural creatures. Not to say those creatures don't have superhuman abilities but just that they might not be supernatural.

Possibly, but I don't think he will be that direct, because isn't Riley the fallen angel or did I misread the preview teaser? If she is then it is not her but what hunts her that should be feared.

That said I wonder if the "brotherhood" the grandmother is researching isn't something to fear.

Nice building. I like it. The perspective looks kinda odd, though. The building iitself is shown from the perspective of a person standing in front of it, whereas the entrance area looks like it were shown from above. Some M.C. Escher type of thing maybe?

Awesome drawing, very gothic! Actually it does remind me of some of the gothic buildings I've seen various places. A lot of that construction was done to have such angles.

So this is the school that will help Riley?

Like the entrance area? Very doubtful. Nobody builds (or has ever built) an entrance area with stairs and a steep ramp towards the door on top of the stairs. AFAIK at least.

Guess so.

Why does this school remind me of a fancier (but still creepy) version of my old middle school?

I wonder how many students are creeped out by the building. It just gives off that 'creepy, possibly haunted" feeling.
