If they had an anime for Last Uniform (same with First love sisters and Akatsuki-iro) and after finish watching it, people might buy the mangas but I don't know if that would make a difference

Perhaps it would be better to release it as an online exclusive or something? That way, if possible, you could print out only as many as people that would actually buy it.

The costs involved in releasing a book exclusively for sell online are the same as if we were to release it for bookstores, so this isn't a viable option for us.

The Last Uniform hasn't sold all that well (maybe it's because the art style?), but we'd like to find some way to put out the third volume at some point. Now just isn't that time, though, considering how low bookstore orders are and sales have been across the board as of late.

I don't understand why some things sell and some do not. I guess not many do or we would have a lot of rich people. This manga has first rate art, story, and translation. I was worried about the size (format) of it at first, but the larger size makes the art that much better.

It's been a number of months since we last heard anything official. Any movement at all on volume 3, or is it still an impossibility at the moment?

We currently don't have any plans to license the third volume of The Last Uniform or to reprint the earlier volumes.

As clarification, does that mean you've completely scrapped the possibility of the third volume ever, or just at this time?

As I've mentioned in previous posts, the author did want to see the final volume published in the US and we were considering an omnibus edition. However, the production costs involved versus the title's actual sales potential make it a difficult series for us to continue.

Due to the performance of the earlier volumes, there are currently no plans to release the third volume. As mentioned two posts above, we have considered the possibility of an omnibus containing all three books, but there just isn't enough of an audience for the series.
